On May 12, 2012, Rotary Club of Plainsboro (RCOP) in association with Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO), and DCH Brunswick Toyota, NJ hosted a free health camp in New Brunswick Middle School at 1125 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.
 

RCOP provided free Health, Nutrition advice and Dental checkups to under privileged community in and around New Brunswick. There were about eight different stations setups to provide complete health checkup starting from checking Blood Glucose levels, General Health, Dental care and Nutrition advice. Many families living in and around New Brunswick area came to the camp and availed free checkup and advice.

Club member Dr. Rajeev Mehta and health advisor to the club Dr. Sergio Sanchez took the lead in organizing the camp. Other club members who are doctors participated in the camp includes Dr. Abbas Bangalawala, and Dr. Shaila Karandikar, Rao H. Andavolu from Morristown Pathology Associates, Students from UMDJ dental school also participated in the camp. Talking about the event Mr. Sunil Nambiar, President of the RCOP said "Next year RCOP would like to do a big health camp, partnering with other local Rotary clubs. ... we can do a rotating camp in under privileged areas where there is greater need for such camps."
